Here I stand in front of the iconic seven layered entrance to Cave 96. The second picture depicts the famous Library Cave (Cave 17) discovered in the early 1900s. This is the origin of the manuscript that became the focus of my undergraduate thesis. As evidenced by my jacket, the weather this time of year was very dry and cold. However, the cold weather actually allowed for an unrestricted and quiet access to what is usually a crowded tourist site.
